Now here’s a first for New Hope: a fresh fish store right in the heart of the downtown business district.
Located at 87-B S. Main St., across from the Greenhouse Bar/Restaurant, New Hope Seafood Market owners realize that many tourists may not choose to stroll about town toting a bag of shrimp during the busy warm season, but hope that local seafood lovers will get hooked. 
“There’s nothing like it around here,” said Juan Mercado, who owns the store along with with Ted Kimber and Ricardo Guzman. “We want to bring something different to New Hope.”
A trip to the shop on Friday revealed some rather fresh-looking salmon, mackerel, monk fish, scallops, shrimp and sushi-grade tuna.
“Everything is right off the boats,” said Kimber.
New Hope Seafood Market is open for business from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
